This season technically started last week. Though, it does not fully seem like fall has truly come yet. I have not gotten out my sweaters and warm clothing yet. The scarecrows are out in my front yard, yet they do not seem like they belong. I do not yet have this longing to carve a pumpkin and eat pumpkin seeds. I have not felt the desire to drive out to Reid's to go through the corn maze. I wonder why this is? Oh I know! It was 100 degrees just a few days ago! That kind of heat does not make me get in the mood for fall festivities. I am not really complaining though, because I know that right after fall comes winter. I am not at all a fan of winter. Temperatures are freezing and below. My bones shake because of the chilly weather and my jaw chatters. My fingers, toes, and lips turn blue. My skin turns the whitest of the year with a blue hint of gross. Multiple layers of clothing is a necessity unless you want one of your body parts to fall off. It is just not my favorite. So for now, if it need be warm still, I shall not complain. I will make the most of it. I will enjoy the heat while it lasts, I will enjoy fall, and I will tough it out during the winter. So bring it on, because I'm ready. I am....
